BRYAN LANGLITZ

Bryan is a passionate actor, educator, director, and coach.

As an actor, his television credits include House of Cards, Orange is the New Black,The Looming Tower, SMASH, The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, High Maintenance, and Secrets of Sulphur Springs.

Onstage, Bryan was seen in Broadway's 2009 Tony Award Winner for Best Musical, MEMPHIS and Off-Broadway in The Public Theatre’s Shakespeare in the Park production of A COMEDY OF ERRORS. He also toured North America as Sam Philips in MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, and the 1st National of A CHORUS LINE. He has worked with regional theatres throughout the country including The MUNY, Lake Dillon Theatre Company, Theatre Under The Stars, West Virginia Public Theatre, and The Wild Swan.

In Los Angeles, Bryan is an ensemble member with IAMA Theatre Company where he was recently seen in the provocative play, THE VERY BEST PEOPLE by John Lavelle. Other IAMA credits include THE FUTURE PERFECT and A KID LIKE JAKE. He has also starred in the West Coast Premiere of TOO MUCH SUN at The Odyssey Theatre. 

Recent directing credits include Matthew Scott Montgomery's world premiere play, F-SLUR, produced by IAMA Theatre Company and the new musical, EVER WILL, produced by Long Beach Shakespeare Company. His production of 100 SAINTS YOU SHOULD KNOW -- in which he also starred -- sold out in Los Angeles, and launched his productin company, Third Route. Next up for Third Route is a new musical he is co-writing with his wife and creative partner, Sally Eidman. 

In addition to private coaching and classes, Bryan is a lecturer at UC Santa Barbara, where he leads the BFA Acting cohort in Alternative Acting Styles, and a Graduate Teaching Fellow at Loyola Marymount University, teaching Beginning Acting and Musical Theatre Audition Technique. 

Bryan holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from The University of Michigan and is completing his MFA in Performance Pedagogy from Loyola Marymount University. He has studied with Scott Freeman, Andrew Stewart Jones, Ellen Novak, Lesly Kahn, Brad Greenquist, and Howie Deutch. He lives in South Pasadena with his wife and two young children where he can frequently be found guzzling coffee and falling asleep with a book on his face.
